Benefits of Yoga

Yoga is an ancient practical system for accessing healing. It does this by integrating, body mind and spirit.

The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word yuj, which means to bind or link thus to reunite and reveal the true self (our true nature) . Every time you make this connection you are practicing Yoga. Through the practise of Hatha yoga and the eight limbs of yoga, which here I will briefly summerise are: The first two, are the foundations of a yoga practice. Yamas and Nyamas (right living)

Practicing Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing) Pratyahara  (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration) and Dhyana (meditation)

When we  give our selves the oppotunity to connect to a deeper layer of our selves we come closer to a state called Samadhi, the eighth limb of yoga. This state can be described as a state of bliss, which transcends the self, where we can connect to all living things, our planet mother earth, our universe and beyond.

Yoga gives us the tools to enhance our daily lives, bringing peace harmony and balance.
